A Wandering Wrist : Montreal Timepiece Show ’26 Photo Report

MisterWrister

In the heart of Montreal, watch enthusiasts from around the globe flocked to see the inaugural event. The last weekend in May set the stage for the first Montreal timepiece show, a new stop along the whirlwind tour of Jason Hutton’s now iconic watch fairs across Canada. It was held in a stunning converted church to event space, in the Little Burgundy section of the city. With dazzling sunshine, and a Sony A6000 in hand, I visited the show on the first morning open to the public. Jason, being the ever gracious host of the event, greeted everyone standing in … Continue reading A Wandering Wrist : Montreal Timepiece Show ’26 Photo Report

Stuck in a blizzard? No worries. The Phantom appears just when you need it. The Search One year ago, I started to scour the market for the ultimate light-weight and ultra warm down jacket as a companion to my classic heavy parka from Canada Goose. I had a few non negotiables in hand when conducting my search; firstly, it had to have 750 fill down (+) or higher. With this part of our body connecting us firmly to the icy ground, extra care needs to be paid when considering what footwear to choose. It was definitely time to put the casual shoes away as the deep winter season was firmly upon us now. … Continue reading Over-Geared : Salomon X Ultra Snowpilot Boots

Over-Geared : Mountain Hardwear Ghost Shadow Hoody

MisterWrister

An ultra-light synthetic hoody that scares away the competition. The base of operations for Mister Wrist(er) is located in Montreal, Canada, which is home to some of the harshest winters on the planet. My wife and I started seriously running about three years ago, and in that time we’ve tackled Trail runs, as well as Half and Full marathons. Our runs were primarily during the balmy summer season, but it was only last winter that we woke up one (too cold for comfort) morning and decided; let’s try our hand at winter running. In that time, we’ve learned a thing … Continue reading Over-Geared : Mountain Hardwear Ghost Shadow Hoody
